Hello!

Welcome to my E-Portfolio. My name is Destinee Harrison and I am an aspiring television personality from Seoul, South Korea.

A little about me:

I come from dual military parents, so needless to say I have traveled all over the world. My experiences have led me to become very interested in how other cultures work. I also enjoy mingling with people from different countries. I am a middle child with one older brother and one younger sister, so I know how to lead and I know how to be led.

For my undergraduate studies, I attended Howard University. In addition to being a student at Howard, I was also an athlete. I have played volleyball for all four years and have loved every minute of it.

In my journalism courses, I was able to use my gift of gab, to excel in different broadcasting classes that cover a range of topics. Additionally, I enhanced my writing skills by writing scripts, blogs, anchor lead-ins and tags. Upon graduation the Howard University Department of Media, Journalism, and Film awarded me the 2015 Exemplar Award, which was awarded to the outstanding communication major senior.

I am in my second year of graduate school at The University of Texas at Austin, and very excited about my future and what it may hold. I have interned with BET, ARIANG TV (Korea), and The Korea Times.

As a journalist, I aspire to bring laughter and entertainment to my viewers. I truly believe that the best form of medicine laughter and enjoy bring smiles to people’s faces.
